This Privacy Policy applies to omnamahshivaymantra.in ("Shiva Mantra Jap Counter", "we", "us" or "our"), including the home-page mantra counter, the Statistics page, the blog and all articles (together, the "Service").

The Service is operated from India. By using it, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Website Offers

The Service is a free, browser-based tool for Shiva mantra japa. Main features include:

• Mantra counter — tap to count japa for सांब सदाशिव, ॐ नमः शिवाय or ॐ; completion of 108 counts counts as one mala
• Timer — optional practice timer while you chant
• Audio — mantra audio files played from our website when you turn audio on (no separate app install)
• Reset — clear counts for the current mantra when you choose
• Colour themes — appearance preference saved on your device
• Statistics page — totals, today's japa, malas, streaks, a weekly chart and calendar based on history stored locally in your browser
• Blog — articles about mantra practice and related topics (informational content only)

None of the counter or statistics data above is uploaded to us or synced between your phone, tablet and computer unless you manually copy it yourself.

3. Information We Collect

Stored only on your device (we cannot see it):

• Per-mantra japa count, total japa, today's japa, and malas completed
• Selected mantra, mute/audio preference, and timer-related settings for each mantra
• A lastDay value so the app can reset "today's" counts at midnight in your local time zone
• Day-by-day history (japa counted and timer seconds per mantra per day) for streaks, charts and the calendar on the Stats page
• Your chosen colour theme

Information you choose to send us: if you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

Technical data from hosting: like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard server information (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors or to track your mantra practice.

We do not ask for your phone number, payment details, government ID or precise location. No registration is required.

4. How We Use Information

Practice data in your browser is used only by the Service's own scripts, inside your device, to run the counter, timer, audio controls, themes and statistics.

Emails are used only to respond to you, troubleshoot issues or consider feedback. We do not add you to marketing lists.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use your practice data for advertising or automated decisions because that data never reaches us.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not set first-party cookies for the counter or statistics. The Service uses your browser's localStorage on your device with these keys:

• shivChantingData — counts, malas, mantra choice, mute setting, timer fields and lastDay
• shivChantingHistory — daily japa and timer seconds per mantra for the Stats page
• shivTheme — colour theme

This data stays in the browser profile where it was created. It is not readable by other websites. You can remove it anytime via the in-app Reset, your browser's "clear site data" option, or private browsing (data is usually cleared when you close a private window).

Third-party cookies: we do not use Google Analytics, AdSense or similar tools today, so we do not place advertising or analytics cookies for those services. If that changes, we will update this page first and describe any cookies used, including how to opt out where applicable.

6. Google & Other Third-Party Services

We keep third-party services to a minimum. The following may apply when you use the Service:

• Google Fonts — we load the Poppins font from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. When your browser requests these files, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the referring page, as described inGoogle's Privacy PolicyandGoogle Fonts FAQ.
• Web hosting — pages, images and mantra audio are served from our hosting infrastructure; standard server logs may be kept by the host as noted above.
• Email (Google Gmail) — messages you send to amritakr0987@gmail.com are processed through Google's email service; Google's policies apply to that processing.

Google Analytics & Google advertising: we do not currently use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager or other Google advertising tags on this website. Mantra audio and images are served from our site, not from a third-party streaming platform.

If we add Google Analytics, AdSense or similar services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when they go live, disclose the cookies and data uses involved (including personalized advertising where applicable), and provide links such asHow Google uses data from sites that use its services,Google Ads Settingsand, where relevant, consent choices required in your region.

7. External Links

Blog posts or other pages may link to external websites, videos or apps. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.

8. Data Security

Because practice data remains on your device, it is not transmitted to us for storage. The site is served over HTTPS.

Protect your device with a screen lock, keep your browser updated, and avoid sharing a browser profile if you want your japa history to stay private on a shared device.

9. Data Retention

Device-stored data remains until you reset it in the app or clear this website's data in browser settings. We cannot view, restore or delete it for you.

Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and maintain a reasonable support record, then deleted. You may ask us to delete correspondence at any time.

10. Your Rights & Choices

You control your practice data:

• View — on the counter and Stats page
• Delete — use Reset for one mantra, or clear site data in browser settings for everything
• Limit third-party requests — you can block font requests with browser extensions or network tools; the site will still work with fallback system fonts

For personal information you sent by email, you may have rights under applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where relevant, the EU/UK GDPR) to access, correct, delete or complain. Contact us using the details below; we aim to respond within 30 days for grievances.

11. Children's Privacy

The counter does not collect personal information for chanting. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children (under 18 in India, under 13 in the United States, or the applicable age in your country) through email without parental consent.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. We recommend adult guidance for children learning japa.

12. International Visitors

Practice data does not leave your device. Email and Google Fonts requests may involve processing outside your country by Google or our email provider, as described above.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service changes or when laws or platform requirements (including Google's publisher policies) require it. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom will change when we do.

Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Our core approach remains: your japa data stays on your device unless you choose to email us.
